ASCAP award winning flutist and composer, Hadar Noiberg’s NY based trio has had tremendous success performing at major festivals and venues in Europe, USA, Canada, Taiwan and Israel. « From the Ground Up » is Hadar Noiberg’s second album as a bandleader and features her compositions for her trio- double bass, drums and ute. Noiberg fuses styles seamlessly. Flowing between Jazz and World Music, she has established herself as a new innovative voice in the Jazz and World Music scenes nationally and internationally.
Through her music, Hadar invites you on her personal journey of being a gay Israeli woman moving to NY on her own when she was only 21 and through it all using music as a means of connection and exploration.
Noiberg’s own trio is a ‘Power Trio’- tight, full of groove and passion. The daring and unique instrumentation of flute, double bass and drums allows sliding in and out of Jazz improvisation and western harmonies with Middle Eastern and North African rhythms and semitones. The music of the new album is fresh, spunky and boundary pushing-blending simple «folky» melodies with intense development, soloing and communication.
Hadar has a duo project with pianist Chano Dominguez where they share their musical languages and craft a new way for the various musical traditions of the mediterranean to interact.
Since 2018, Hadar travels Europe with pianist Olivia Trummer. They've released their new album in January 2020 and will tour in Fall 2021 in Europe.
Indeed, with a language that transcends her Middle Eastern roots, Hadar seamlessly fuses styles reminiscent of many different cultures making her voice a highly distinctive and innovative one.
